Speaking at Winfon this evening Mr. Massey announced tho personnel of the Taxation Commission. Tho names are as follow: — Mr. Justice Sim (president). Mr. Shailer Weston (Wellington). Mr. George Shirtcliffe (Wellington). Mr. W. D. Kant (Wellington). Mr. James Begg (Dunodin). Messrs. Hunt and Shirtcliffe are wellknown business men, who have devoted much attention to taxation questions. They were members of the committee which reported on taxation in 1922, and last year engaged in a public discussion, by means of newspaper articles, on various aspects of the question. Mr. Weston is a well-known lawyer and president of the New Zealand Employers' Federation. Mr. Begg is an Otago runholder.
