GOVERNMENT'S SCHEME.

The secretary of the National Federation of Building Trade Workers, Mr. Coppock, speaking at tho Housing Conference, said: We are on the eve of a tremendous housing proposal by the Government, embracing the erection of 2,600,000 houses ml 5 years. The Government is going the right way about it, and the industry is prepared to make every effort to carry out tho scheme. Mr. Herbert Morrison, Labour member of the House of Commons for South Hacknev said that 90 per cent, of London was dull, dreary and miserable.
