THE MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. ONE TREE HILL SEASON OPENS. The Maungakiokie Golf Club's links at Ono Ire© Hill were opened on Saturday when mixed foursomes were played Owing to the wet weather only 12 players took part in the match. The beet card was 'turned by Mrs. W. J. Rodger and W J A. Thomson, who, with the handicap of 11* were seven down. ' The members were the guests cf M- and Mrs. W. J. A. Thomson to afternoon tea. MATCH IN AMERICA. HAVERS DEFEATS JONES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.45 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 5. A. G. Havers, of Lancashire (England), defeated R. Jones, the American open golf champion, at Atlanta, by two up and ona to play, in a 66-hole match.
