A sitting of the Arbitration Court was held this morning, when cases in connection with waterside work came up for, interpretation. Men were summoned for work at- CsvstlecllfiF at. 3.45 a.m:, and on turning up were not required, ' owing to the vessel being delayed. Tho men claimed that they were entitled to four hours tit double rates, whereas they were actually paid two hours. Another dispute was in regard to the interpretation of clauses 23 and 46, in relation to the pay-; ment for intervening time when men who had worked from midnight were knocked off from 6.15 to 7 a.m. on account of rain. The Court's decisions were reserved.
