With the arrest and confession of Tonnajiro Naruse, a farmer residing in ; the neighbourhood of Nagoya, the mys- | tery of the attempted train wreck, -which ; precipitated the dissolution of the Diet, is ! solved. It transpires that Naruse was jilted by i a girl on the night of January 30. and as i he went home in despair and anger he j saw a train rumble past. He then decided | to wreck a train to relieve his wounded J feelings. With great labour he placed j the obstruction across the track, and then I hid to watch the results.
