Therti was a sale of N6w Zealand inscribed Stock,' 1938,' at £97, late 'sellers quoting the same figure. Soldiers' Bonds were quoted at £101 15s and Soldiers' Inscribed Stock at £101 • 1.03. In local body debentures h there Was a transaction ;in Auckland Harbour Boards, 4 per cent. r1 £82, with further buying offers at £80. In - banks New Zealanas . had ; buyers > at; £38,.' sellers 63s 6d; Nationals of New Zealand, buyers £6 ' 12s sellers £6 15s; ; Union of ' Australia, - buyers £14 10a, sellers £14 12s =& 6d. ; New V South Wales were quoted at £41 10s and Australasias at £13 10s. In insurances business . was done in New Zealands at 29s 6d, further buyers offering _ the same figure, sellers 30s ; South British, avail- • able at 40s 3d, had buyers at 40s. In coals Waipas were sold at 20s, with late inquiry at 18s 6d. Taupiris, quoted at 19s 9d, had, buyers at 18s 9d.,.';Hikurangis were inquired for at 10s 6d. . In shipping Huddart-Parkers had buyers ; at 41s 9d,; sellers 425. 9dj P. and O. deferred stock, ; buyers \ £285, sellers • £310. In timber there was a sale , of LeylandO'Brienu at 40s 6d, late buyers offering 38s -6d without j response : from sellers. : In mining Waihi; Grand Junctions were hold at 4s lOd, late buyers offering 4s 6d, sellers 55.. Waihis had buyers at 30s 9d, sellers 31s 6d.
