FIRE AT TAURANGA.
NARROW ESCAPE OF y HOUSE. [BT TELEGRAPH. CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Tuesday. The fire brigade received a call just before mid-day to a; fire among some dried gorse on a section on the western side'' of the town. The fire broke two windows in & wash-house in the vicinity, while the flames leaped over a portion of a residence nearby. The brigade reached the u-ene promptly, . and soon had the fire under control. The residence was not damaged.
