Poynton, E.M., In the Police Court yesterday.; Mr. A. J. Stratford, J.P., was also on the Bench. ' Evidence was given that accused bad called at the place where his wife want staying on several occasions since Wie, separation order. Bowley stated that he : went there to see about his houso and furniture. ; He was ordered to pay 3:ls costs and to come op for sentence within six months.., . ';'.;'':•,.• ILLEGALLY ON BACECOTJBSE. Percy Charles Linlciiorn (Mr. Mays} was charged with having been unlawfully on ; the Takapuna racecourse on January 26Counsel admitted the offence, but pleaded that accused was ignorant of the fact' that he was prohibited from going on a ; racecourse. Accused was ordered to pay 17s costs. .'■,■ ,> <■ George O'Brien, for a similar offence, was fined 20s, with 7a costs. MISCELLANEOUS CASES. "I ;was ' slightly intoxicated, but nothing" to speak of," said George Saville, alias Smith, aged 37, charged with drunkenness. A constable stated that accused had been seen jumping on the backs of carts in Queen Street. He was fined £3, with costs 3s, in default seven days'imprisonment. ~ A young man, whose name was ordered to be suppressed, was fined £3, with costs 21s, for the use of obscene language at the Parnell baths. It was stated that he had given a constable trouble, and told his name only under a threat of arrest.' -C :
