ELECTION OP OFFICERS. 1 ; The annual general meeting of the Pu< puke Golf Club was., held on Thursday at Takapona. The '"POft. and balance sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected for the 1924 season :— President, Mr, F, H. Mingavj vice-presi-dents: Messrs, S. Hunter, F. Grant, A, Clarke, A. Reeve. E. Orimwa.de, Norrie ano Mrs. Quick; secretary, Mr. Basil Dean * treasurer, Mr. Alfred Reeva ; committee. Messrs. Warbrick, Thompson, Bacon, Matthews ; Mesdames Atwood, Clark, Oumbarwortb ) Misses ■> McDonnell «*d M- Donald. General business was dealt with, the proposal 'to increase the present 9-hole course to 18-holes meeting with much , F.atrsfactioti. Work has already begun, and ft is anticipated that three now greens will be ready by the; end of the season. At a general oommittee meeting, eight new member* were admitted. The question of the services of a professional coach for the Reason was discussed, and it was resolved that the secretary make arrange- j ments for the engagement of a suitable 1 man, subject to the support of the members It was unanimously decided that the greens be measured by a 'surveyor (to ; be appointed). Several sums and tcophiijg i were promised by members present.
