The leading of these, Afforestation Ltd., has been successfully established . for some months and much work has been done on their very fine property of 3600 acres at Putarurii.., Mr. B. H. Gondii?. M.Sc, is the company's forester, and he is very enthusiastic with regard to the property and states, that, from his observations, prohablv in no other part of the Dominion is the growth of trees equal to that of those grown in the Putaruru district. . Afforestation Ltd.. has 995 shareholders in various parts'of the Dominion and the total capital subscribed approximates £60.000, and as a result, unless a. further area of land is acquired it will be necessary to close down the issue at an early date.
