64 MORE ARRESTS MADE.

.GOVERNMENT ORDER DEFIED Renter. DELHI, Jan. 7. Last autumn the Eaj proclaimed (rurdwara Prabandhak (Sikh shrines) Committee illegal, and arrested its members, who are undergoing trial. Since then the Sikhs have, elected a new committee in' defiance of lawful order. Sixty-four members, while holding a general meeting in the Golden Temple, were arrested to-day &nd removed to the local gaol, pending transfer to Lahore. The police superintendent waited for five hours to permit the Sikhs to complete a religious ceremony before the arrests were made.

The attitude of the Akalis Is provocative, but the town is quiet.
