Sir,—Exception has very properly been taken to the proposal of the architects to send one of their staff to Australia to report on and arrange for the supply of hard stono for part of the structure. If (which I doubt) suitable stone caiyjot bo supplied within New Zealand, then why not arrange, as I see has been done with regard to a Canadian War Memorial, to obtain stone from the several localities, or some of them, where our soldiers fell? Digger.
