OHURCH TURNED INTO CLUB. LENIN IN STAINED GLASS. A. and N.Z. P&TROGRAD, Jan. «. Trinity Chapel, Petrograd, situated in the grounds of the former palace of the Grand Duke Alexander, has been converted into a club for Communist youths.
The altar, formerly one of the most beautiful in Russia, has been transformed into a stage, and stained glass windows, containing figures of Lenin, Trotsky and other Communist deities, have been installed.
M. Zinovieff, president of the Third Internationale, opening the club, said: "It will spawn generations of godless men, who will carry the light of Communism to all corners of the earth. This former temple of superstition will now aid Communism to educate its youths."
