GOVERNMENT REPORT.
The Government meteorologist reported | last evening as follows: Present indications are for northerly winds, strong to gale, backing to westerly northward of 1 New Plymouth and Castlepoint, northwesterlies to south-westerlies elsewhere. The weather will be unsettled,, boisterous and heavy in all western districts, rain following generally. The barometer has * falling tendency. HERALD SPECIAL FORECAST.
