' Statements by officials of the Canadian merchant raarino intimate that Canad& is assured of a subsidy of £20,000 annually from the Fiji Government for the transport of canned fruits and other products to Canada. ; r 7'v' It appears that the Fiji fruitgrowers combination has completed arrangements ' to construct canneries and will be ready to handle shipments within, a year.''-: A British shipping company was willing to construct four Deisel boats for a special refrigerator trade, bat the Canadian arrangement will probably first be tried.
