ALLEGED SHEEP-STEALING.
FARMER SENT FOR TRIAL. [BX TBLEOBAPH *BXSB ASSOCIATION.] tfASTERTON. Wednesday. John Patrick O'Connor, a well-known farmer, and chairman of the school committee of Tinui, was charged at the .Police Court to-day with having stolen two sheep, the property of Mr, David Henry Speedy, a neighbouring farmer. Accused reserved his defence, and was committed for trial, bail being allowed, Self in £200 and two sureties of £100 each. O'Connor was fined £15 on each of two charges of having in his possession sheepskins without ears.
