Frankton compiled 850 runs in the first innings, played the previous Saturday. Old Boys replied with 126 (Senior 84. Fraser 24, Sneddon 18, Hockm 11. Gilmore 11). Old Boys followed on and scored 164 runs in the second effort (Johnstone 78, Allen 82. Hockin 24. Fraser 10). When Old Boys paid the first visit to the wickets.
