Vincent last evening:—fine weather conditions are likely to rule generally, though cloudy and unsettled at times, with scattered showers in western and southern districts. Conditions in the meantime have again become unfavourable for any extensive rainfall, as disturbances continue to pass north and south of the Dominion, with a remarkably •persistent high barometric pressure system centred in the North Island. Winds variable, but southerly to south-westerly, moderate to strong, prevailing. Seas moderate. Barometer, midnight —50.35 in. ; steady. RAINFALL RECORD. Fall in City for 48 hours ended midnight.
