DAMAGED RIVAL MOTOR-BUS.

A practical joke, with the intention of giving a rival difficulty in starting his motor-bus, resulted in Desmond Humphries, (Mr. Vallance), aged 19, being charged with wilfully damaging a motor nick, the property of E. Meynell, to the extent of Bs. Counsel stated "that accused a. -conductor on a bus at Point Chevalier. He had no intention of doing any damage, but had interfered with his rival's engine to make it difficult to start. Humphries was fined £2, with costs 10s, and was ordered to pay 8s damages. * J
