RECLAIMING SAND DUNES.

MINISTER'S INSPECTION. [B* TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION.] PALMFJRSTON NORTH. Friday. Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, Commissioner of State Forests, arrived from the North to-day, and inspected the sand dunes on the Manawatu and Rangitikei beaches. The department is carrying oat reclamation and tree planting work on the dunes on the coast near Oroua Downs. The Minister is accompanied by Captain Macintosh' Ellis, director of State Forest Service, Mr. Darby, officer in charge of the Wellington region of the department, and Mr. J.
