11 MONTHS IN AUCKLAND.

A marked decrease in marriages is shown in the vital statistics last month, there being 156, as compared with the 181 for the corresponding period of last year. Marriages by the registrar numbered 35, an increase of 11 on the figures for November, 1922. The number of births registered was 301, an increase of one on last month's figures, and of 10 on those of October last. * Deaths for the month totalled 127, an increase of 5 on the 1922 figures, but a decrease of 10 on those of the previous month. For the first eleven months of the year the totals are satisfactory from all points of view, showing an increase in births and marriages and a decrease in deaths.
