MORE TREASURES FROM TOMB Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 6.45 p.m.) - LONDON. Nov.. 26. The Luxor correspondent of the Morning Post states that Mr. Howard Carter continued his investigations in the outer shrine and mortuary chapel of Tutankhamen's tomb. He found a small shrine with Tutankhamen depicted in godlike capacity preparing to exterminate Set, who was the chief rival of Osiris. Ho also discovered a delightful statue of Apis, the Bull God, thickly covered with gold.
The special correspondent of the Sydney Sun says that between the first and second shrine of Tutankhamen's tomb Mr. Carter found a number of beautiful symbolical alabaster calcite vases, mount- d in silver and gold, Royal staves, a mace, a sceptre, a golden bow, an enormous linen pall decorated with innumerable golden rosettes, all most beautiful works of art.
The interior of the outer shrine is completely gilded and covered with numerous religious texts. On the front of the second shrine is a frieze bearing a great winged solar disc.
On the panels of the door are representations of ' Tutankhamen worshipping before Isis. The scenes depicted are In incised relief overlaid with gold of the finest workmanship.
