APPRENTICES' WAGES.
MILITARY TRAINING TIME. ✓ , . NO DEDUCTION TO BE MADE. [BY TELEGEAFH.—-PREPS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Monday. The Arbitration Court has ruled that when an apprentice is absent from his work for the purpose of military training, no deduction may be made from his wages. Absences from work through compulsory attendance at military camps cannot come under the heading of sickness, default, or voluntary absence, stated Mr. Justice Frazer, in delivering the judgments and employers are permitted to make deduction from wages for time lost only through one of these causes.
