BANDITS ATTACK TRAIN.
THREE OFFICIALS KILLED. [from OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23. A train/on the Southern Pacific Railway was stooped by bandits north of Sin Francisco a few days ago. The driver, the fireman, and the guard of the train were shot dead in cold blood by the desperadoes, who, however, were foiled in an attempt to rifle the mail,, van, owing to the exolosivc used being powerful. On the same day. in Los Angeles, .a bank was robbed of £1200 just on closinp time. The employees at numerous moto. service stands have been invited to stain and deliver. Shopkeepers and persons or: foot and in motors have suffered from tlw depredations of these bandits. In the rail way and bank cases, and in many other i instances, no arrests have been made*
