LARGE OVERSEAS MAILS.

DESPATCH FROM DOMINION
Exceptionally large mails will be despatched from New Zealand for America and England by the Rcmuera and the Maunganui to-day. The Remuera, which is to sail from Auckland for Southampton direct at daybreak, is taking 23 tons of mails for the United Kingdom. It includes 162 bags of parcels and 571 bags of newspaper mail consisting largely of Christmas numbers of the Auckland Weekly News and Diamond Jubilee numbers of the Herald. This mail is due in London about January 5. _ The Maunganui which is to leave Wellington for San Franciscan is taking mails for both England and America. Her mails for England consists of letters, which are being despatched via the United States, the quickest mail route, and are due in London about December 29. At least 250 bags of the Maunganui's mail were posted at Auckland.
