TREASON IN HOLLAND.
MILITARY SECRETS SOLD.
TRAP LAID FOR TRAITORS. ARREST OF A BELGIAN. Br Telegraph—Press Association—-Copyright. Times. LONDON. Nov. 23. The Hague corresjxmdent of the Times reports that a sensation has been caused in Holland by the discovery of an extensive plot against the Netherlands State. The military authorities discovered that maps and documents relating to the Dutch defence system were being sold to foreign countries. Measures were speedily taken to have false plans issued ■with the object of catching sellers.
To-day i Belgian was arrested at Bar-le-Duc in the act of buying secret military plans from a Dutch officer. Arrests of four other officers followed in various towns of Holland.
The plotters arc believed to have worked from Rotterdam, where their leader has also been arrested.
