CLAIRE DEFEATS PEGGY.

[by TELEGRAPH. —FRKS3 association.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday The second trial for the selection of a Wellington representative for the Sanders Cup contest took place this afternoon. The competitors were Claire, Peggy, and Eynin. Claire forged well ahead, and was three minutes ahead of Peggy at the last turn for home, When the breeze dwindled. Peggy then,shot ahead, and nearly caught Claire, but the two boats were not i* hundred yards from the finishing line when the breeze again freshened. In an exciting contest between the two, Claire crossed the line 15 seconds ahead of <Peggy, with Eynin-two minutes behind. .
