SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION.

ARRANGEMENT FOR COACH.

- The Management Committee of the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association met last evening. Mr. J. Elliott presiding. It was decided that, weather permitting, the season should be officially t opened .next Saturday, when the i draw set down for- wet Saturday will be adhered to. ;' . It was reported that the association had obtained the services of Mr. John Seymour, late of Sussex and North Hamptonshire elevens, and 'an English professional cricketer, as its coach. Th» necessary funds had been, guaranteed and Mr. Seymour, who had cast in his lot with the Elleishe Club, would take up his duties immediately. Mr. J. Graham, an ex-Otago representative, had decided to play for Y.M.C.A. The action of the executive officers in responding to the request of members of the Auckland Cricket Association for a conference on the subject of affiliation, was endorsed. The subsequent , letter setting forth the Suburban Association's suggestions regarding representation and other matters was approved.* ,
