STOCKS AND SHARES.
The tone of the Auckland eharernarket was unaltered yesterday. In New Zealand Government securities the 1927 War Loan changed hands at £98, more being sought at £97 10s, with late sellers asking £98 ss. Soldiers' Loan bonds had demand at £100, and inscribed stock in the same loan was wanted at £100 15s, with sellers of the latter at £101 se. In debentures NewZealand Breweries sold at £102, w»th further demand at that figure, sellers £103In banks New Zealands (new issue) were don© at 49s 9d, late buyers 49s 6d, sellers 60s. The old issue were on offer at 51s 9d, buyers 51s. Australasias were looked for at £13, sellers £13 ,6s. For Nationals of New Zealand buyers offered £6 15s, but there were no sellers. Unions had sale at £14 17s 6d, at which price more could have been placed, sellers asking £14 19s. In insurances New Zealands were wanted at 295, sellers 29s 9d. South British at 40s 6d had buyers at 38s 9d. In gas Aucklands changed hands at 25s 3d and 25s 6d, and the new issue sold at 3s 4d. Miscellaneous lines had fair demand at late rates but there were no transactions. In mining Waihis were done at 26s 2d, late buyers 26a, sellers still quoting at 26s 2d. Grand Junctions sold at ss, more being asked for at 4s 9d, sellers 5s Id. Moanataiaiis at 2s 6d were looked for at Is 7d. Four in Hands (con.) had inquiry at 9d, sellers Is.
