Advices from Belgrade state that as the result of the attempted murder of Colonel Kristich, Yugoslav Military Attache at Sofia, the Yugoslav Government has sent Bulgaria a 48-hour' ultimatum demanding official apologies, the honouring of Che Yugoslav flag in Sofia by a detachment of Bulgarian soldiers, an official inquiry by the Bulgarian authorities anu exemplary punishment of the guilty parties. The question of an indemnity is to be submitted to the Court of International Justice. The Sofia correspondent of the Times fitalts that Colonel Kristich, was attacked in his house by three men whom a soldier orderly unsuspectingly admitted. When Colonel Kristich appeared, two men fled. The remaining man presented a revolver and pulled the trigger three times but successive misfires resulted. The pair then began to struggle. Colonel Kristich was knifed in the eye, but escaped- He stated that his assailants were Macedonians.
Tho population of Belgrade is indignant at the news of tho affair.
