Tuesday. ,' A fine of £1 ( was imposed on Robert Williams ; and Lionel Lawrence White in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court yesterda for committing a breach of the peace. The <evidence showed ; that White and Williams had had some words concerning remarks Williams was alleged to have made to a lady friend of White. The latter ■ was # - standing on a scaffold at the time painting, and he poured some calcimine over Williams, who shook the scaffolding and brought White to the ground. A fight followed.
