[bx TELEGRAPH. —OWN correspondent.! PAEBOA. Tuesday. ; At the monthly meeting of the Ohinemuri County Council Mr. A. R. Robinson presided. ' i ■• The delegates who conferred with the Waihi Borough Council regarding the question of repairs to the Waihi Beach Road reported that nothing definite had been arranged. It was decided to place the position before the settlers affected before taking any further steps Another matter dealing with the Waihi Plains was that of a proposed deviation of the Ratarua Road. The Department* of Lands wrote stating that the length of the deviation was about 15 chains, and that the cost of forming same would be about £30. A. bridge required over the Mataura stream was estimated to cost £500, and metalling the road would take another £139, making a total of £669. ft was decided to refer the matter to the riding members and engineer for consideration. . - ■'■■■"'/.''.:■ The Majestic Goldmining Company, Maratoto, asked that the money voted for the formation of the road to the southern end of their property be diverted to the formation of a road to the northern portion cf their claim. It was decided to apply to the Mines Department for the necessary assistanceabout £250. The chairman was appointed the council's representative on the No. 2 Highways District Board. '■:'.'.:
