BANK CLERK'S REVENGE.
£40,000 IN NOTES BURNED.
Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Reed. 5,30 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 4. According to the Rome correspondent of tho Daily Chronicle a bank clerk who had been refused an increase of salary by the Bank of America and Italy, in revenge made a bonfire- of notes worth 1,000,000 lire (about £40,000), which he obtained by means of forged receipts.
