The Tauranga Rifle Club's first shoot for the Floyd championship belt was held on Saturday last, at 800 yds, 500 yds, and 600 yds. A strong westerly wind was blowing throughout. which made good shooting difficult. Tho highest scores were:—W. P. Bell. 120; T. Floyd. Ill: D. M. Mcintosh, 110; E. J. Smallfield, 108. - The cadets' competition was continued, the best scores being R. Norris, 85: D. Meiklo, 81. . The trophies won last season were presented as folioFloyd champion belt, Harold Oliver: service cup (won right out), Harold Oliver; memorial cup, R. S. Benli W ; Meikle's trophy, R. Norris; D. M. Mcintosh's rifle. A. Hynds; Mrs. Mcintosh a pictures. R. S. Benjamrti, and A. J. Memlees; club sight protector. D. Mcintosh. FRANKTON COMPETITION. ' The second competition in connection with the championship of the Frankton Rifle Club was fiited 011 Saturday, afternoon in fine weather, with\a strong breeze. . There were 10 shots each.
