EARTHQUAKE LOCALISED

DIRECTION OF NEW GUINEA. RECORDED IN AUSTRALIA. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Reed. 1.20 a.m.) SYDNEY. Nov 4. A violent earthquake has been registered by the seismograph at Riverview. The shock is of larger magnitude than the recent Japanese earthquake. The locality is probably between Bougainville, in the Solomons, and the Huon Gulf, Papua, New Guinea.
