HANGED FROM A TREE.

SUICIDE AT SILVERDALE. BODY FOUND BY A BOY. The body of a man hanging from a tree at the entrance to Major Jolly's farm, Whitehalls, Silverdale,- was found at 4.30 a.m. yesterday by a 14-year-old boy residing at the farm. The body was that of William Austin, a single man, aged 28 years, who had been employed in the district for some time as a labourer. Deceased had resided with his father and brothers at Whitehalls, and it is believed that he committed suicide at about 9 p.m. on Saturday. An inquest was held at Silverdale yesterday, before Mr. T. Trebilco, J.P., when a verdict was returned to the effect that deceased had committed suicide by hanging himself while in a state of mental depression.
