Germany, the President, Herr Ebert, is being strongly urged to proclaim the Rhineland an autonomous State within the Reich, giving it freedom from Prussia. The Rhenish bourgeoisie support complete separation from the Reich, because they believe that the Rhineland can thus rid itself of reparations obligations. •
