TOWN SUPERVISOR RESIGNS. i '.- ■ ' ■ FRICTION WITH EMPLOYEE fBl XSXEGRATH. —OWN COIUUCSrONDENT.J CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. • The Cambridge Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor. Mr. C. H. Priestley, presiding. The resignation of the borough supervisor, Mr. J. J. Riley, was received. The supervisor stated .that working conditions with the'staff were unworkable. He had had serious friction with one member of the staff, who had gone the length of striking him. As the council had decided to restart the employee concerned, ho had decided to resign. The council accepted, the resignation. Mr. A. Bell dissenting. . • The , Waikato County Council wrote, consenting to co-operate in the heavy traffic composite license scheme. Thomas to fill . he vacancy on the Hospital Board As ho local bodies are not in agreement in the matter it was decided to ask the Ministor to make an appointment. The new gravitation water supply scheme from Maungatautari was approved, and iC was resolved to inspect the site.
