TAKAPUNA BOATING CLUB.

OPENING OF CLUBHOUSE. The new clubhouse of the Takapuna Boating Club, situated at Bayswater Wharf, will be opened next Saturday afternoon. The building represents the voluntary labours of the members over a period of several months. To mark the opening, and also to assist the building fund, a bazaar has been organised on rather novel lines, the interior of the hall having been painted to represent a street in Bagdad. Tho opening ceremony will be performed by Commander Miles, of H.M.S. Philomel. The Auckland Artillery Band will give selections during the afternoon. The bazaar will be continued for seven nights, and will also be open on the afternoons of October 22 and 27.. ";.■- : • V
