The clerk to the Matamata County Council writes to.'say that the reading conference held oh September 25, . wa3 for* the purpose of discussing and determining the. best system of road connection for the adjoining "ridings; of the -VMatamata and the Waipa Counties .with the To Awamutu-Arapuni ~■ Road. The i following were present:—The Public - Works engineer ,at Arapuni, ■Mn T. - Rabonej, the MafTamata County: Council ■: chairman, Mr.' J. ;W. * Anderson ; Mr. Judd of Maunga- ; tautari; Riding,:> Mr. -M. :E.
