At a .meeting of: the ;Thames '; Valley Power Board a ,'communication was'received from .the Government with regard to electric ploughing, in which-it was suggested that facilities be granted by the board to farmers. :! The;: matter-: was referred to .'-.'-. the engineer for ■'•." a ; report; and at the meeting of the board yesterday tho engineer, Mr. Qauvain,' stated that the Public Works Department;was obtaining information as to the cost of installation, and upon receipt of this information a report would-be submitted.' The opinion was expressed that electric ploughing would be-more/ satisfactory in the South Island!,than! [ in /the! North, because there were much larger paddocks there.
