WAR MEMORIAL FUND.
SATURDAY'S RUGBY MATCH.
ALL FOOTBALLERS' SUPPORT.
A pleasing feature in connection with the Rugby football match between the Hawke v s Bay and Auckland teams, to be played in the Domain next Saturday in aid of the War Memorial Museum fund, is the co-operation that is being extended to the Auckland Rugby Union 'by kindred football organisations. ' At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland . Rugby, League last evening it was decided, in view, of the playing of the Rugby Union match in aid of the War Memorial fund, that Carlaw Park be closed on.'i Saturday, except for junior competitions. The .League Committee decided to centre its efforts .on the promotion of a -good j, gate ..at * the Domain, and to advise its patrons to take this opportunity of supporting the War Memorial : fund. • '<' >,'■' . , : The Auckland 7 .Football Association has also decided, in recognition oi the War Memorial match ton Saturday, that "Soccer" matches be abandoned on that day in order not to clash with the Hawke's Bay-Auckland match. It has been proposed that the association should exi-cwe its efforts in; aid of the ; War Memorial fund at a later date.
