The tone of the Auckland shareniarfeet remained, practically: unaltered yesterday. In New Zealand Government securities Inscribed Stock, 1938, changed hands at £97, buyers 1 closing -at--: £96 sellers £97 ss. i There was'■;'.; inquiry for War Loans, .'1938 and.; 1939, ]at £96 15s, the former being quoted at £97 10s. Soldiers', Loan bonds were on offer.' at £102f 5s and inscribed stock Jill the same loan at £102 10s, the latter being sought at £101 15s. In banks the new issue of New Zealands, which were quoted for the first time, had sale- at 51s Bd, there'being a late inquiry at 51s. The old issue at 54s were wanted at 535. Nationals: of New Zealand were sought at £6 16s, Australasias at £13 "99, New: South Wales at £40 ss, and Unions of Australia at £14 17s, no holders quoting; ■•■; In insurances New Zealands, at 30s, had inquiry at'29s 6d. Nationals, at 78s 6d, wero wanted at 755. South British had demand at 4is 9d, sellers 42s 6d. In gas Aucklands wero dono at "i 26s 9d. In timbers Parker-Lambs sold at 30s. : In miscellaneous stocks V mos£ lines were quoted vat about late rates and there were no transactions. '-. In mining ;. Waihis changed hands at 265, more being offered at that •' figure, buyers closing at 255; 6d. Grand Junctions, at 6s 3d, were wanted at 6s.
