RUGBY REFEREES REUNION.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION. The, Auckland ;! Rugby Referees' 'Association held a ; re-unioni','' at * the ■ Sports Club's rooms last evening. ;^::V. , M^^■''.Cliffe > '. president of : the association, presided '< over ■ a representative gathering of over . 50 referees. The re-union was \ marked with; the utmost -enthusiasm, ;• and * ; a -pleasant evening was spent m- music, song, and story.. ; The usual v toasts were honoured and duly responded to. - The toast v of the: Auckland Rugby^Union/?proposed; by; Mr. A. Wetherell, was responded to by Mr. H. .Frost, chairman of -the Management Committee; 1 Mr. R. Webster, v and Mr. Nicholson, members. .The toast of the "Appointment Board" was ■ proposed by Mr. Swan, and responded to by Mr. Grigg; "Kindred ;!. Sports" • was proposed by Sir. Hall, and .responded to by Mr. ,W.; J. . Meredith ahd iotVsrs;/ ."Rugby" Footballers" ; was -proposed:: by Mr. vR. P. Bennett,] and ; acknowledged by Mr. Cliff and Mr. Krcxnfeldr: "■':■. Musical; items; and songs were - contributed ■■' by Messrs. C. Campbell,. W. ;j. Meredith, Mr, Swan, . F.. E.. Sutherland," Mr. : Bennett,; J. H. ; Muldoon, and Peace.
