Lambing on the Canterbury Plains is now almost over, and from all quarters 'come reports of exceptionally good percentages. The mild ruins of three weeks a<ro and fine spring weather since haveprovided ideal conditions for lambing and reduced losses to a minimum. In quite a. numbers of districts reports arc that, in addition to the absence of mortality through climatic causes and ewe troubles, the percentage of lambs dropped has been extremely good. ■■".'-:--, Lambing is now fairly general on most of the high country, and several weeks fine weather is all that is required to eftsure good results there.
