MR. T. LISLE RETIRES.
[bx TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON. Thursday. Mr. Thomas Lisle, who has been chief organiser of the Reform' Party for many years, is temporarily retiring from politics, and has relinquished his position. Ho has seen the party grow from an insignificant Opposition into the position of dominating New Zealand politics in Parliament His association with Reform dates back over a quarter of a century, when he organised the first branch of the former National Political. Association in Christchurch ; On his retirement Mr, Lisle was, the recipient of a substantial cheque from the Premier in recognition of his long and valuable work - for the party, and a similar expressic n of appreciation has been passed by the : Wellington executive of 10 Reform Party, of which Mr. jLiiile was secretajy.
