IMMIGRATION OPENINGS.
SALVATION ARMY VISITOR. DOMESTICS FOR 'AUSTRALIA. Among the visitors who arrived by the Ulimarba yesterday :.:■ from Sydney was Brigadier E. Tracy, of the Salvation' Army International Headquarters, London. This officer was. selected to conduct one of the Army's parties of. domestics to Australia. This: party consisted of .156 and most ; of the girls landed at Eremantle, where they were eagerly sought by employers shortly after arrival. She stated yesterday that; there were many cases of war widows to whom; the chaiigo from the crowded conditions in- England to the freer life in the colonies opened up quite a new life. ' --Brigadier Tracy has taken the opportunity to visit New Zealand and make inquiries into immigration possibilities. She will remain in New Zealand for the next three weeks and will then return to England, via the United States and Canada.
