'■"./.', The quantity of wool offered at the series comprises: Brought forward, 105,500 bales; Bawra' wool, 70,000 bales. New wool: Australian, 20,000 bales; New Zealand, 30,000 bales; Cape, 2500 bales; Punta Arena, 10,000 bales., Total, 236,000 bales. •■.• The market was firm, with a tendency all round against buyers. All Merinos and fine crossbreds were very firm at July closing rates. There was a strong Continental demand, especially French and Belgian, but Yorkshire was quiet and Americans were not operating. Medium crosisbreds were 5 per cent, above July, and low grade par to 5 per cent higher. SHpes and lambs were unchanged. New Zealand Holdon clip realised 53d, top price, 50d average. /■*
