' ''" THE OPERA HOUSE.' '' The last week of Bert Le Blanch-popu-lar Travesty Stars commences ■ at v the Opera House to-day, when the revue will .bo entitled, " The Spring of Gladness." This is said' to, contain much (original; musical comedy. An excellent vaudeville programme will be given in addition:' Pat and- Paula Hansen will make their first appearance, as will Dale and Baffling, who give a harmony turn.- tumbling violinists, " Tho Fredo Boys," arid MPoineare> are also on the programme.. An item that should appeal to young and old alike, will be Abdy'3 performing cats, dogs, monkeys, and cockatoos.
TTVOLI THEATRE. •Unusual interest is being shown in tho.«. Paramount picture, "The Ne'er .do Well,", now the leading attraction,: at the Tiroli Theatre. Taken from Rex Reach's novel of the came name, the story is one of intense interest and dramatic possibilities. All the latter have . been . thoroughly exploited. _ In the title-role, Thomas Meighan is seen in one of the finest studies of his screen career. -Ha is tho more convincing for being utterly natural in his portrayal of the millionaire's profligate son who is thrown upon his own resources in a new world, and finds regeneration and a better underStanding of life. Lila Lee is the heroine, Chiquita, and the remainder of the cast, is excellent. BROADWAY THEATRE, i A change of programme will bo given a 6 the Broadway Theatre, Newmarket, this evening. The leading picture to be screened is " The Scarlet Car," a Universal production starring Herbert Rawlinson, supported by Claire Adams and other favourites. The picture is full of action, with romance/ and suspense mi plenty. Another fine film to be screened is, "The Song of the Soul,": a Goldwyn production, with Vivian Martin in the lead. This is an adaptation of William J. Locke's "An Old-World . Romance," and deals with a noble woman's love. ..
LYRIC THEATRE. ; The Paramount attraction, " The N'th Commandment," with' its human little story of the struggles of a young, .wife, is proving highly popular at..-the-Lyric ITieatre. Colleen Moore gives a delightful study of the heroine.
