MOTOR OUT OF CONTROL.
ACCIDENT IN MOUNT EDEN;
TWO OCCUPANTS INJURED.
; A motor-car driven • by.; Mr. J,' Rogers, land agent, was proceeding along Owen's Road, Mount. Eden, \ -shortly .J before h 3 o'clock yesterday ' afternoon, .when, } in turning the sharp bend close \ to Willesden private .hospital,' it got beyond control,: arid crashed into an electric : light standard on the footpath. The driver and a passenger, Mr.; John Brown, of 12. Emma • Street, Mount Albert, were thrown from their seats by the force of the, impact, ;■and rendered- unconscious. I They; were immediately taken;;: in to the Willesden; hospital, i where ■;'/• Mr. Brown,. was found jV to • have '; sustained 7 a fractured '■leg. Mr. > Rogers received severe bruises and; injuries to his head. After receiving medical attention, ; both ; men were removed to the Public Hospital.
